ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

Do you know a student that could use a little extra cash this year? If you answered "yes" to this question, read on...

The St. Louis chapter is pleased to announce its annual 2010 Scholarship Competition. ASPE needs the support of you and your students in this competition. The local St. Louis chapter will award a $1,000 scholarship to one student. This funding can go a long way in these difficult economic times.  The award will be in the form of a check made out to the recipient and can be used by the student for tuition, supplies, room & board, etc. Furthermore, we will be presenting this scholarship during the ASPE May monthly membership meeting. Attendance is mandatory for the successful applicant. After all, we are proud of our winners and really want to show them off!  We would also like to encourage you, the faculty, to attend this meeting along with the winning student and their guest. Celebrate the success of your students, promote your curricular programs and gain information about our professional society. Could life be more fun?!

What can you do to help?  Please take a few minutes to copy the enclosed application & requirements.  Please distribute to any student enrolled in a full-time/part-time engineering or construction related program (see application rules for more details), announce the competition in class, post on bulletin boards, post on Web sites and encourage students to participate!
